ABOUT:

Fazenda Serra Negra reached producer Betina Reis Teixeira as an inheritance left by her father. Here, the production is cultivated between 950 and 1,100 meters of altitude and has taken place in the family for 35 years in the municipality of Ingaí, South of Minas. As she comes from a family of producers, Betina decided to give up dentistry to dedicate herself to growing coffee alongside her children. Among the cultivated varieties are Catuaí, Caucaí, Mundo Novo, Acaía, Topázio, Burbon, Catiguá, Arara, and Paraíso. The nature reserve is the differential of the farm because the producers focus on sustainability and preservation of the natural reserve and water springs preserved by the producers. The techniques and management applied to the plantation go through different processes and this is what contributes to the quality of the specialty coffees.
